Where Is My @ On Qwerty Keyboard?

I cannot use the key Tab + 2 to write @ (even this one is a copy and paste).

I am using sequoia 15.3.1. Lately I cannot use the key Tab + 2 to write @ (even this one is a copy and paste) my keyboard is QWERTY.
I mostly write in French and the little icon on top is CAPC. I live in Canada can you help solving that.

I think you mean Shift + 2, not Tab + 2. Correct? I don't think any keyboard anywhere uses Tab + 2 for the @ symbol or in fact uses Tab as a modifier key at all.

If you have your keyboard set to "Canadian - PC," which is what it sounds like, then your keys will react as if you are using a native Canadian PC keyboard. So if you have a US keyboard, the characters printed on the physical keys won't always match.

You can see the actual keys by going to System Settings, Keyboard, then clicking the Edit button next to Input Sources. You probably have the "Canadian - PC" keyboard listed on the right. Click it. Now you will see a representation of the keyboard. Hold the Shift, Option, or both down to see what each key types when you use those modifiers.

In this case, when I hold Option I see that the 2 key changes to @. So Option + 2 is the @ symbol using the "Canadian - PC" keyboard. And now you know how to find any others too.
