Why Are Folders On Top Of My Apps In the Applications Folder?

I want to have files and folders in my Application folder in Alphabetical order. Now my folders are at the top (in the folder) and the apps are below them.

    It sounds like you turned on the option to sort with folders on top. To turn it off, go to Finder, Preferences, Advanced and look for the checkboxes under "Keep folders on top."
