Will the iPhone 8 and X Work With Generic Wireless Chargers?

With the wireless charging added to the new iPhones, will any generic wireless charger pad work, or will the phone pop up the unsupported accessory and not charge like when you used an non certified Apple lighting cable.

Apple has stated that they are using the Qi standard for wireless charging. This is the standard that is already used by many wireless chargers, maybe all of them. Apple doesn't yet have its own wireless charger, and is selling two third-party chargers on its website.

So look for the "Qi Standard" in the specs of any charger. I'm sure before too long all reviews and tech specs for chargers will report how will it works with the iPhone 8.
