I recently made some major changes to my photos’s on my Mac using Photo. How to I get my iPhone and iPad to update to the changes I have made?

Are you using iCloud Photo Library, or syncing via some older method like Photo Stream or manually with a cable? If iCloud, then are you signed in to iCloud with the same ID on all devices? Is iCloud Photo Library turned on for all devices?
If all looks good, then it could just take time. Make sure your devices are near fully-charged, plugged into power, and connected to Wi-Fi.

I'm using iCloud and following your directions but my phone and iPad are not showing the changes I made on my Mac. All were in sink before I made the large change on my photos on my Mac.

Can I plug my iPhone in to my Mac and sink that way?

David: No, connecting directly doesn't do anything for iCloud Photos. When you look at the Settings for iCloud Photos o your devices, does it show a message like "Downloading X photos" or maybe "Uploading?"
Also, back to your original question, you never described the exact problem. What, exactly, isn't working? Are photos missing? Albums? Metadata? Something else?

Aloha Gary! On my Mac I have edited my pictures down to 26,000. On my phone and IPad it still has the 38,000 and does not change. It says "Updated just now".

David: So the number says 38,000. But what about the photos themselves? Did you try checking some of the individual photos you deleted to see if they are still on the devices? Could just be the number is wrong. Also, I'm not sure if the number includes the trash (the "Deleted" album).

Aloha Gary! You are the best!!!! I took your advice and double checked my setting on my Mac and they were not correct. I reset them and everything is working correctly!

    Mahalo!
