How Can I Keep My Initials Lowercase, Even After the End Of a Sentence?

I always use my initials in lower case (ddo) for signing letters, messages, etc. I have taught my computer (Macbook Pro running Mojave) to accept it as a word, but after the end of a sentence, it always capitalized and comes up as “Ddo” and I have to hit Escape to leave it as is.

It is capitalizing it because it is the first word of a sentence. You can turn that off, but I imagine that far more of your sentences actually start with words you want to capitalize. So I think your best option is to simply keep correcting it with the Esc key.
