How Do I Change the Ratio Of Map’s Navigation Directions To Music’s Song Volume?

I find that the audio level of Map navigation commands is often far above the level of the song I’m listening to as I drive. Can I adjust the ratio?

I assume you mean on an iPhone, not on a Mac.
One way is to go to Settings, Maps, Driving & Navigation and then there are 4 levels for voice volume.
You an actually do it while in Maps too, after you have started a route. Drag the bottom controls up and tap Audio to get the same 4 choices.

Another menu to explore! Yes, I’m asking about Maps on iPhone. I checked it out and found it already on the lowest setting, so I may not be able to get it down to the level of a string quartet. Still, good to know about that set of menu items. Thanks as always Gary.

I wonder if there is a setting in your music app that is making the volume lower. You might see if volume limit is on. Then try playing with sound check. With sound check I believe it looks through all of your music and put the volume of everything right in the middle, so if you have some songs that are very loud for some reason, maybe that is making some of your other music quieter than it should. You could also play with EQ possibly that could change something. But sometimes the GPS is loud...

My wish is that they would come out with an option for GPS that would allow for just a ding for when you should look at your phone (mounted on your dash, of course) instead of trying to read out a super long road name 7 times before you need to turn. Or another option could be short phrases, like "turn coming soon" and then you could look at your phone if you wanted to see more street info. I tried just using my watch to notify me of a turn, but sometimes I miss it when the road isn't smooth.
