How Do I Change the Style Of the Standard Blank Template In Pages?

I like my text to be 12 pt in size and I would like a different font for the Blank template in Pages. How do I modify the Blank template?

Thanks

There are two ways. First, you can go to Pages, Preferences, and click the checkbox next to Default Font. There you can set just the font and size.

Another method is to create your own blank template. Fill it with all of the styles and defaults you want. Save it to the Template Chooser. Then in Pages, Preferences, choose For New Documents "Use template" and choose the template you created.
