How Do I Create Subfolders for Flagged Emails In iPhone?

I have multiple mailboxes on my iPhone including “Today” and “Flagged”. Is it possible to create folders under “flagged” so I can sort the flagged items by email and/or other characteristics? I can specifically color code folders on my desktop but not on my phone.

Sometimes the flagged items have different priorities and knowing which email they came from helps in handling, responding and filing. When all flagged emails go into one location I have to scroll through all of them to find the ones I need.

You can't, because "Flagged" isn't a folder or mailbox. When you select it, you are just asking for a list of messages that are flagged. It is a search request, not a place or location where messages are stored.

Instead, do a search. Start with "flagged" as the search term and you'll see you can select "Message is flagged" under Suggestions. Then add more to the search, like the name, email address, domain of the sender, etc. You'll then basically get a list of messages that are both flagged and meet the other criteria you specify.

Thank you for your response Gary. That’s what I thought but thought maybe I was just missing something. Is there any way to pick the color flag on the phone? I can do it on my desktop.

Diane: Yes. View the message. Tap the button at the bottom that looks like a curvy left arrow. Tap Flag. Then choose a color.
