Hello to all, Does anyone know if it is possible and if so, how to download all passwords from the Apple passwords app to a CSV or other format? I want to save and print out a copy of them. I know that it can be done with Dashlane, but I cannot find it anywhere in the password app. I thought that I heard that it can be done but I cannot find it.
Thanks
Greg

In the Passwords app on your Mac, go to the File menu, then select File, Export All Passwords To File... Or, you can select just the passwords you want, and an option would appear above that one to export just those that are selected.
The result will be a .csv file that you can open in Numbers. You can print it from there.
Thanks, Gary. I forgot to look up higher in the menu bar. Strangely, though, on two chats with Apple support, they told me it cannot be done, although I knew it could be done. All the best.Greg
Gary, can you tell me about the Security section of the Password App.. where does the "compromised password" information come from? Can I trust it, and should I go through all the compromised to change them?
Donna: Apple tracks data breaches and other sources of compromised passwords. It is easy to "trust" it. Why wouldn't you? There is no harm in changing your password if there was somehow an error in that regard. I would change any password I see listed as "compromised."
Thank you Gary! I wasn’t sure it actually was Apple that tracked the data breaches so that helps and of course makes me trust it.
