I have a collection of iTunes music I’ve purchased over the past several years. I do not want a subscription for the Apple Music service. Do you have a suggestion of how I can preserve my purchased library?

There's nothing you need to do. I'll have a video on this next week since a few people have asked. You just use the Music app instead of the iTunes app. Your library doesn't go anywhere. You'll be able to make more purchases just like before. Nothing changes but the name of the app.
I thought the Music app was a subscription. This is why I want to not use the app (no subscription ). I look forward to your video coverage.
Mike: That's "Apple Music." The Music app will be very much like iTunes, giving you access to Apple Music if you have that, but also your own local library of music, iTunes Store purchases, and adding more of both. This is how it already is on iOS: you use the Music app there already.
Duh! I see the difference. Still looking forward to the video and hope it explains syncing and such as it relates to songs and music videos.
