How Do I Remove Work Photos From My Library and Put Them In a Separate Folder?

I love the channel and recommend it to all of my friends! Thank you for the great content!
I take dozens of photos for my job weekly. I also photograph every car I rent. I would love not to have these photos in my library with my personal pictures.
I would like to be able to be able to set them in a folder that I can access as needed.
How can I do that?

Help me Obi-Wan, you are my only hope!

The photos that I take for my job for my job are many and having them in the library folder, when they number in the hundreds, are inconvenient to look through and past. Also, when I want to find a specific photo in the work photos, they are sandwiched in between personal stuff that I have to wade through, as well. Having them in a separate file would simplify things greatly!

Select them and use File, Export, Export Unmodified Originals. Then once you are sure they are exported and you have them as files in a folder, delete them from your Photos library.

Then, you could move them to a new separate Photos library, one that is not your main (iCloud) library. But that only works well if you aren't using your iPhone to take the pictures. If you are using a separate camera for that, then it is easy to just import them only into that secondary library. Otherwise you have to keep removing them from your main one and importing them into your secondary one, which is a chore.

If you are using an iPhone to take pictures, then a useful technique is to find a third-party camera app that has to option to save photos to its own storage container, rather than the Photos library. Then you can transfer those directly from that app to your Mac and avoid having them go through your Photos App Library.
