I am using iMovie 10.1.13 – I no longer see the option to view my photos in iMovie by year – it only shows albums and people. How can I show Years view? I want to add still photos to my movie. Thanks for your help. Best wishes, Ian

It doesn't look like there is a way. But you don't really need to use that functionality. You can just drag and drop from the Photos app right into iMovie. That way you can view your photos any way you want and easily add them to your iMovie timeline without needing to mess around in the clunky Media/Photos lists in iMovie.
There are other ways to do it as well, of course, like using Albums. You could create an album in Photos for a particular iMovie project, or just a general "Use in iMovie" album and drag photos into there. Then easily access them in iMovie through that album.
Thanks a lot Gary - that is a great help, I really appreciate it. Best wishes, Ian
