How Do I Spread Text Across Multiple Columns In Numbers?

How do you spread text across multiple columns? I have five columns and I want a universal header centered and spread across all those columns.

In this example, “Samsung TV Auto Equalizer On” does not spread as below but fills a single column.

Channel Duration (seconds LAeq (Average dB) Max Level (dB) Notes
Samsung TV Auto Equalizer On
10 61 43.7 50.9 Samsung TV Auto Equalizer On
14 62 43.4 48.3 On

Select the cell and go to the Format sidebar, then Text, then uncheck Wrap Text In Cell.

Now the text should overflow the cell and cover the cells to the right.

However, if there is a value in the cell to the right, that takes precedence over its own space. So the cell to the right needs to be empty.
