How Do I Stop the Message “This Webpage Is Using Significant Memory?”

How do I stop the message “This webpage is using significant memory. Closing it may improve responsiveness of your Mac.” When I’m on Facebook games (with only 1 window and nothing else in the background open)????? If I go onto “Klondike” not even maximized or on various other games, this message pops up in a bar at the the top of the screen and I have to X it out, until it pops up again in a couple of min. I’m using Catalina on an iMac 2017.

The warning is legitimate. No need to dismiss it, as you are right, it will come back again. Unless the game doesn't work while it is there -- is that the case?

Sounds like that game is poorly developed. Perhaps find another Klondike solitaire game to play?

If I may be so bold, I can suggest my own site: https://justsolitaire.com -- and you don't even have to be logged into FaceBook to play!

Thanks for the game referral but the really funny thing is that this only happens in SAFARI and not in GOOGLE CHROME, Yet the game plays equally well in both browsers.

Barry: This warning is a special feature of Safari. It is designed to help those worried about battery life and general performance. Chrome simply doesn’t have it,

Thanks Gary, So both browsers (or any other one I wish to use) will suffer the same slow-down with these games as the Safari Message indicates, but the Chrome (or others) just won't warn you (is that right?)

Barry: Right. The slow-down was always there. The page would have always been a problem. What is new is that Safari now has a feature that warns you about it. So people that wonder why their battery is draining fast or other apps are running slow will have a clue as to why. The page is just using a lot of processor power to do what it is doing.
