How I Do Create a Custom Photo Widget On Home Screen In iOS14?

Hi Gary, love the new widgets in ios14. I’m using the photo one on my Home Screen as a sort of digital photo frame, but can’t see to be able to control what it “plays”. The same few photos keep appearing. Am I missing a step somewhere?

The only system Photo widget is one that selects some photos for you and shows those. I think it is called "For You" or something like that. It would be nice if there was another widget called "Show Album" and hopefully Apple will add that at some point.

Until then, you can add a third-party widget, like that Widgetsmith one, to do this. Many of those third-party widget apps have a photo widget and allow you to select the photo(s) you want to show in it.

Thank you so much for your speedy response, much appreciated. I’ll try widgetsmith as it sounds like just what I need.
