My niece has never deleted a message (Messages app, not emails) from her phone. She wants them off her phone but saved forever. Any way to do that? Cloud? CD? Thanks!

Like with all email questions, it really depends on the email service. That's the most important thing. The Mail app is just a "viewer" to your email service, in most cases. For instance, if she is using Gmail, then she can log on to Gmail's web site and there are lots of controls there. Lots of people have posts on how to archive Gmail. But it would be different for Yahoo, Hotmail, iCloud, etc...
FWIW, I have 12+ years of email, and I never delete any of them. There's no reason to, usually. I just archive messages as soon as I read them and then enjoy the fact that I can search all of my past email whenever I want.
I’m interested in archiving text messages from Messages, not email.
John: Ah, I see. Sorry about the misunderstanding. I missed that.
Does she have a Mac too? And is the Messages app on her Mac also getting these messages? If so, you can always print (Print to a PDF) the conversation as a kind of archive. But as far as I know, there is no way to archive from iOS.
