How To Display Keynote Presentation Using a Projector Connected To MacBook Air?

I have purchased both the Keynote and Photos courses and want to display a presentation on a screen using my MacBook Air. What suggestions are there for renting a projector? Or looping it on a 21″ iMac, not my first choice?

I'm not sure how to advise you on this. I've never rented a projector before, so I don't know what is available. Just get something that meets your requirements and can be connected to your MacBook. You'll probably need to purchase the cable to go from the MacBook to the projector. For instance, mini DisplayPort out from the Air to HDMI in on the projector.

Gary is right on the adapter. You also need to adjust the monitor settings. If you go to System Preferences and Monitor you will see that there is a mirroring option and a display options, but you have to have something plugged into the display port to see it. Audio should go through the adapter to the projector. Or you can route the audio through the headphone jack to a audio input of a stereo or other audio input source. We do this often at our church to a PA system.
