Is it a bad idea to have an iMac display at full brightness?

gary im wondering if i have my iMac 27 brightness at full will it burn out my display?

    Why would they let you turn it up to "full" if it did? I have a lot of old Macs around, and I've never seen a burnt-out display. I've never heard that full brightness is dangerous in any way. Did you hear otherwise?
