Should I Archive or Delete Email?

Given emails are pretty small, does it make sense to archive (rather than delete) read emails by default? If so, are there any exceptions you can think of? Thanks!

That’s what I do. I think for about 15 years now. I never delete anything. It all just gets archived. I love that I can search them easily. I think if I had to choose Archive or Delete each time, I certainly would have made the wrong choice (deleted) at least a few times and would have regretted it.

The only exceptions may be pure spam. But I like that I don’t have to waste any time thinking about it. I just hit the keyboard shortcut for archiving and move on. I think too many people spend too many minutes per day (it adds up) deciding what to do with each email message. I just archive and move on.

What exactly is ARCHIVE❓Can archiving be done in the Apple Mail app on an iPad❓

Bob: Archive is basically a mailbox/folder/label “Archive” where you can put all of your email after you remove it from your inbox. Gmail uses it. iCloud uses it. Not sure what you have as a service. What happens when you click the Archive button in Mac Mail?
