Should I Use iMovie or Keynote To Make a Movie With Just Still Pictures?

I don’t know how to start! I am trying to make a movie for my sons wedding. I made one in 2011 using keynote.
I am only using photos, want to add in titles and pop up words within each slide. I use different transitions between the photos- some longer than others, as well as some photos are longer than others. I set it to music- multiple songs. I have forgotten everything! Which program should I start with? My computer is a macOS Catalina version 10.15.5 and I bought it in late 2013. Both iMovie and keynote are up to date (automatically updated).
thank you

You could use either. So a big factor is which one you are better at using. But if that is the same, I would go with iMovie because you say you want to "set it to music" and iMovie is better for timing transitions and things to specific parts of a song. With Keynote, that's not really possible.

Hi Gary, i an working with keynote, movies, photo’s and music. You can use any song, chose wich time you want it to start and end. If you want several foto’s and use the music longer than you fit the foto’s in one dia. I think Keynote is a lot easier to use? Kind regards winni
