The electric outlet chargers for the Touch and iPad2 are different sizes. Do they both put out the same amount of current to charge the iPod Touch & iPad2? I’m going on a trip and curious if I need to bring both chargers or if one sharer will work for both units.
Thanks!

There is a difference. The smaller iPod touch/iPhone charger is a 6 watt charger. The larger iPad one is a 10 watt. Both will charge the iPod, iPhone and iPad. But the 10 watt charger will charge the iPad much faster.
So if you only want to bring one on your trip, bring the 10 watt one. That way you get something that can charge all devices, but will charge the iPad faster. On the other hand if space and weight are more important, bring the smaller one and you still have something that can charge all devices. For instance, on a short trip I won't even need to charge my iPad since the battery lasts a long time. Or, perhaps I can charge it up overnight without needing the speed.
