What To Do With Numbers Code In Firevault When I Encrypted MacBook ?

Did clean install from time machine (ext. hard drive) and used a password to open MacBook. Also encrypted the hard drive. Was given a lot of numbers that are now in firevault. When would I use these numbers. Do I need to keep them forever ?

I'm not sure what numbers you are talking about. Are you talking about the "FileVault recovery key?" If so, this is a backup so in case you forget your user account password you can still decrypt the files on your drive. Just print it out if you like and save it somewhere. You would only need them if you can't get into your drive normally -- so probably never. But it is important to have them just in case.
