I have a iPad1 that is synced to my MobileMe account and three other Apple devices. All work perfectly. But I cannot access me.com or my iDisk from the iPad with Safari. MM doesn’t give the option to enter my ID or PW, instead it keeps insisting that I set up a new account. Same problem with the iPhone. No issues with MM from my laptop or desktop. Help????

Which URL are you going to to try to access MobileMe? me.com? Something else?
I'm using me.com.
Ah, OK. I remember now. You don't use the me.com site on an iPad. You access it all through apps: iDisk, Gallery, Find My iPhone, Mail, Contacts, Calendar. You get the first three in the App store, all free. The other three are default apps.
