How to turn a regular horizontal text sentense into a rainbow arc in Pages or Keynote

Does anyone know how to take a regular horizontal line of text and shape or move it into an arc form in Pages? I am not trying to “wrap” the text but actually bend the text line, so it can look like a rainbow arc around a shape. (Like in a logo for example).
Someone once did it on my computer but didn’t show me how, so I know it can be done but need some directions!

I'm almost positive there is no way to do that in either Pages or Keynote. What you saw was probably someone using an Illustration program like Illustrator or even Photoshop and then importing the results as a graphic into Keynote. You can also use title creation software like TypeStyler or ArtText to create it and bring it in.

Hmmm...well, that is interesting, as I do not have any of those programs on my computer, but I know the person who arc'd text on my computer did it right in front of me in either Pages or Keynote (can't remember which) right around an image from my iphoto, so I am confused! (He was a mac genius too, but has passed on so I unfortunately cannot ask him.) Perhaps it will remain a mystery. Thanks for letting me know about the other programs!!

Sasha, I looked around myself on the web, but couldn't find anyone who said this was possible in Pages.

I recently tried doing such myself, but couldn't find anything in Pages which allowed me to do such. Fortunately for me I also had Word 2008 for Mac, which did allow me to do such. Not that this helps you...

It's possible he did it in 3 approximate parts. For example, if the word is 'DIFFERENT' you make 3 text boxes side by side from 'DIF,' 'FER' and 'ENT' then change the slant of the first and third boxes to make it angled.
