The performance of additional RAM should be identical no matter where you buy it as the RAM has to be of a specific type to work in your specific MacBook anyway. What may differ is the quality -- the chance of it working out of the box and the chance of it continuing to work. In most cases and RAM from a reputable dealer will be fine. You might find it cheaper in another store as Apple will tend to be the most expensive. Just make sure you buy from somewhere where you feel confident you can return it if it doesn't work.
