    Thanks. As always I learn new aspects of a topic. But what does Archive actually mean. Can I archive indefinitely. Some e-mails have large attachments.

    Bent: Archive is just another location (or label if you use the Gmail metaphor) for email. When you get a new message it is in your "Inbox." Then you move it to your "Archive." If you have trouble visualizing it, think of them like boxes on a desk with labels: inbox, archive, etc., and the messages as pieces of page you move around.
