Do you mean an email address that belongs to you that you no longer want to check for incoming messages? If so, and you are on a Mac, go to Mail, Preferences, then Accounts and then select and remove accounts from the left.

This is not what I ask - I want to delete individual names that are on my email list of people I email. Some have new email address and some I no longer want to email.
What do you mean by "email list" -- in your Contacts? Just go into contacts and delete those contact entries. Or update them.
