Hi Gary,
I went through your whole list of task managers hoping to find one with 1) alarms and 2) snooze times that could be set to something other than iCal’s strange 2 hrs to one day span. No luck. If I want to snooze a reminder for six hours I have to have it pop up repeatedly and snooze for two hours each time – crazy.
Is this an Apple restriction that can’t be changed by app developers? Do you know of any plans to change that, or do you know of any apps I’ve missed that can vary the time?
Thanks for all your info and tips.
— Jim
Keep in mind that the list you are probably referring to (http://macmost.com/poll-best-to-do-list-application.html) is for Macs, not iPhones. The wording of your post leads me to believe that you mean iPhone apps? Is that right? If so, I plan to do a poll for iPhone to-do apps sometime in the future.
iCal on the Mac lets you snooze an alarm for 1, 5, 15, 30 minutes, 1 or 2 hours, or 1 day or 1 week.
For iPhone apps, I'm sure there is no Apple-imposed set of times for snoozing alarms in 3rd-party apps. But I couldn't tell you which ones might offer other options off-hand.
The iCal on the Mac also has snooze restrictions. Like Jim I wanted more option choices between 2 hours and 1 day for the snooze. Is there a way to set the snooze option for the time you want so that it can pop up to remind me at the end of the work day what is on tap for tomorrow? I also just keep resetting for every 2 hours but that gets old fast. Thanks!
I don't think so. Perhaps there is another application that would work better for that kind of task?
