Hey everybody…i cannot change my system preference icon,i tried copy/paste procedure but when im about to paste it the word “paste” is FADED OUT….ok i have changed it before BUT that was with candy bar but now i do not have candybar,i did it with the trial version i will buy it when i have the extra cash ..i think there is another way which im suppose to go to the systems folders and do something ? did candybar lock it maybe ?? i already deleted all candybar files !

You are not supposed to be able to change icons like the one for System Preferences. Why do you want to change it? Messing around with your system for the sake of "just because I can" is dangerous. I would advise against it.

I like to customize my imac but im not doing it just for the sake of it like you said? im surprised you never heard users customizing their mac's,there are safe apps that also do this for you like "candybar" anyway thanks for your help and i really like your videos.
I hear of users customizing their Mac desktop all the time. It is common. But this type of customization is cosmetic only. So, if you are having trouble, I don't see the point of spending a lot of time on it. Customize what you can, have fun, make your Mac your own -- but don't let it cause any stress. You know?
