Hi,
I need a help to understand how Address Book handles families. The problem is that the cards are not related to each other in a family.
Let’s use my family as example.
I created a card for me, my wife and our two kids. Many informations are the same like address and land line phone number. I created a Group called My Family and placed our cards in there. That is the most I could make.
Is there a way to relate the cards? I saw that there is a way to add Related Names but I did not understand how to use it.
I hope I made myself clear.

It sounds like you are doing everything right. Each person has their own card, and creating a Group for your family is a good thing, if you need it. But other than that, there is not much to do. The related names -- I think that is just for remembering spouses or children of friends and co-workers. People that wouldn't have their own entries. In old-fashioned address books people used to write those down so they could say something more specific than "how's the wife and kids" at the start of meetings.
Thank you Gary.
My main problem is when someone from my family calls me from the landline on my iPhone it never gets right the caller. Sometimes it shows as my wife, my son, my dauther or even me.
As a work around I thought to mark the cards from family as Company "Home". Maybe it can help. I will try and let you know.
