As an entertainer I add the party to Calendar, add the Location but I am sure that once I saw a map appear, maybe in Notes, tap it and Maps gave me directions. Ios10, iphone 5S.

It should work automatically. If you add an address in the "Location" field it should appear. You can select the event on your iPhone, view it, and then scroll up and the map comes up at the bottom. Or just tap the address at the top and it should jump to the Maps app.
Thats what youd expect, and I thought it did it once a few months ago, but not now! Tried variations of the address, but even thought it comes up as a location with a pin, no map,
Jon: Did you maybe turn off location services or something in your Settings? Does the Map app work correctly? Did you try the usual things, like a restart?
