I'm not sure what you mean by "recorded a song in iDVD" -- I don't think there is any way to record audio in iDVD. You use it to compile videos and images into DVDs. Perhaps you mean something else?

Thank you so very much for the timely response. I'm sorry that was all wrong. I'm doing this reguest for my daughter. She used imovie to record a song it was a audio only no picture recorded using imovie and then put on a dvd. what i want to do is put the audio in to itune file and listen to on a cd. sorry for the mix up I hope i have it right this time. Your podcast are the boom for people like me new to mac thank you.
Ah, I see. In the future, have her use GarageBand -- it is made for exactly that. But in the meantime, you can just export the video from iMovie as an audio-only file. Just choose Share, Export as QuickTime. Then choose Sound to AIFF as the export format.
