This is not a range of cells as in ‘print area’, but a single cell within a printed table. I know I can change the text color to white, but I was hoping to find out if I can hide the cell contents from printing but keep them visible on screen. Also, I cannot hide the whole column or row.

There's no way I can think of to do that other than your white text idea. You could also just delete that cell, print, then immediately Undo to get the cell back. Or, print, but PDF>Open In Preview, then draw a white box over the cell and print.
Thanks for the reply, I decided to put the cell in a separate table and not include it in the print area. That way I can still see and reference it. (It is a status for an invoice which links to an accounting sheet.)
