Monday morning will kick off Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, this time completely online. Instead of gathering in San Francisco, developers can watch and participate in live events using Apple’s Developer app on Mac and iOS. The keynote presentation will also be live-streamed in various places.
Rumors are flying that Apple will tell developers it plans on switching Macs from using Intel processors to Apple-created ARM processors, like the ones used in the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Such a change would most likely be gradual, and it may even be years before consumer Macs make the change.
We will likely hear about new features in the next versions of macOS and iOS. We could also find out more about suspected products like GPS tags and CarKey. Less certain is whether we will hear about rumored future products such as augmented reality glasses.
