Macs Shine In Record Quarter

Apple posted a profit of $23.6 billion on revenue of $89.6 billion for their second fiscal quarter, more than doubling last year’s profit for the same quarter.

Macs brought in $9.1 billion, the most for any quarter, fueled by demand for computers as users work from home and the interest in Apple’s new M1 processor. These new Macs also most likely cost Apple less since they contain Apple processors, not ones they had to purchase. iPad sales also increased, as well as iPhone, wearables and services.

Seems like the M1 architecture is a hit. I'm not sure if Intel will catch up in terms of performance per watt.
