I lost my application button on my dock as well as the button that shows all of my applications on the dock. How do I add them back in ?
I need to replace those buttons as I accidentally lost them. I found the application file and utilities files but I don’t know how to drag them back to the dock. no room for them.

Do you mean folders on the right side of the Dock? If so, you can just drag and drop them there.
In the Finder, go to your Applications folder and then go up one level so you can see the folder. Then drag and drop it to the right side of the Dock. It has to be the right side, near the trash. The left side is for individual applications. The right side is for files and folders.
Then in the Applications folder, drag the Utilities folder to the right side of the Dock as well.
However, if you mean LaunchPad, an app that by default should be on the left side of the Dock, then that's different. You'll find LaunchPad as an app in the Applications folder. Drag that individual application to the left side of the Dock like any other app.

I don't have a column next to my dock as it is on the desktop. I think its called launchpad button (is that the one that shows all of the apps?) I found my app folder in macintosh at left when I click on finder but cannot get it to the dock. I cannot find the launchpad button
Sharon: LaunchPad is an app. You'll find it in the Applications folder with your other apps. Drag that to the left side of the Dock. You can also select it and choose File, Add To Dock.
