AppleTV – extremely hot

Hi Gary,

I recently got the AppleTV. The outer casing of the unit gets extremely hot even when I am not using it. My friend has the exact same issue. Have you heard of this before?

    I've had an AppleTV since day one. It has always been very hot. It's never been a problem, though. I think the idea is that it is hot because it is successfully radiating the internal heat -- better out than in, in other words.
    I made sure to not put anything on top of it, or to put it on top of anything else that could be hot, like an amplifier or DVD player.
