My iPad 2 keyboard has just recently sifted from being out of the way at the bottom like normal to now being halfway up the screen. It annoying since most times it’s covering the areas I want to type in. How can I fix this?
Cheers.

This is a new feature of the on-screen keyboard on the iPad. You can slide it up and down the screen and even break it into two halves to type with only your thumbs.
See the key at the bottom right corner of the keyboard? You can drag that up and down. Drag it all the way down to put it back at the bottom.
See episode 617 where I demonstrate: http://macmost.com/ios-5-first-look.html

Thanks so much. Was driving me crazy. You are super. I appreciate your help.
Thank you SO much for the answer.
Apple wanted $29 bucks over the phone and said they had no idea why my keyboard shifted after the update on my IPad 2. You guys saved me money and heartache! Thanks!
I agree. I'm a mac nerd and love all Apple stuff. But their concept of making loyal customers pay extra for basic tech support is just crazy. I can't figure out why Apple charges for tech support....just doesn't make business sense. In comparison to the billions they make selling great products, the paltry amount of tech support income just doesn't seem worth it....only infuriates loyal Mac users. Am I wrong here?
Apple provides free tech support in the Apple Store Genius Bars -- you can bring in a 10-year-old Mac if you like and they'll still try to help you. You get 1 or 2 free support calls when you buy a new Apple product, and more with AppleCare. I believe that's the same for Microsoft and other companies. I don't think it is that they want to make money from it. I'm sure they don't. They just want to give it "value" so people don't call every day, day after day, with question after question -- using it as a learning tool instead of support.
Thanks. That was a problem I had too
Your response was great. I was really getting frustrated and didn't want to send 30 minutes going through technical support
Thx so much!!
Thanks, it worked in a jiffy
Mine says dock or split so is a newer version but thanks it fixed it
I live near an Apple store and get excellent service and free advice with all my problems
Wonderful, after tearing my hair out all morning, fixed in 30seconds, thanks so much!
Thank you. I must have done something w/o knowing what. Bottom keyboard gives options of dock or split. I tapped dock and keyboard returned to bottom of screen.
