How Do I Get a Good Quality Picture, 240p and Up On YouTube?

I tried recording my screen in Quicktime, when i played it back, the quality was great. I put the Quick Time movie into iMovie and applied some effects, then exported it to YouTube, unfortunately the quality was really bad. How do I get a good quality picture, 240p and up on YouTube.

240p? Not sure what you mean by that. Did you check again at YouTube? Keep in mind that it does a first pass and then a second pass. Only after the second pass is the video at full resolution.
For best results, send YouTube something that is of a standard resolution, like 1280x720 (720p HD).
