This week’s hot topic among Apple enthusiasts has been iTunes 11. While most praise its improved speed and slightly cleaner interface, others have lamented the loss of cover flow and have been struggling to find the new locations of functions. You can see the MacMost video on iTunes 11 for an overview.
When iMacs started shipping last week, some machines arrived labeled “Assembled in America.” It now appears that this is the beginning of an effort by Apple to bring some manufacturing back to the USA.
Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed in an interview this week that he plans to have one whole line of Macs assembled in America in 2013. In the meantime, investigators have determined that the Macs already being built here may be coming from the vicinity of Fremont, California. This is where the original Macs were manufactured in the 1980s.
An interview with Cook will air tonight on NBC’s Rock Center. It is expected that he will hint at future plans for Apple, including a possible television device.

Awesome! Hopefully this is a trend.
Great News.
I hope that my new iMac 27" will be made this way, when it arrives on 28th Dec ? + a few days !
I had some difficulty in getting the new iTunes, because it said Error, and next time i clicked on it. The iTunes store was asking for something, but i declined.
I have not really looked at the new features of iTunes, because has long has it plays my music it`s ok with me.
Yes this was on the Gizmodo site, and it showed you a close up of a label, and it said,Designed by Apple In California Assembled in USA. They said this, was because they were behind with the shipping of Mac`s. A TV device was also mentioned.
Has for bringing much needed job`s to the USA it would drive the prices up further.
I forgot to add you can switch back to the old iTunes if you want. Not that i am going to. I took your advice quite some time ago switching from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion, and i haven`t noticed the difference. So i guess it will be the same has the new iTunes.
