App Expose is a great way to switch between apps and windows. You can use it with the keyboard or mouse, but it especially powerful when you use it with a trackpad.

One tip I don't remember you including with App Exposé is the ability to select a document by pressing the first few letters of the document name. Imagine having a Pages document name "Important." Typing "imp" while in App Exposé takes you to the first document with a name beginning with "imp".
