Add/Delete Dashboard Widgets

Tiger’s Dashboard and Widgets are way cool, but do you know how to add or delete a Widget?

You can open Dashboard by clicking it’s icon on the dock or by pressing the F12 key. Once Dashboard is running, you’ll notice an icon of a plus sign in a circle in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Click on the icon to manage your widgets. You can get rid of widgets by clicking on their close icons or you can add widgets by dragging them to the desktop.

If Apple's built in widgets aren't enough, you can download them from Apple's Widget Downloads site. I don't have Tiger, but I have Leopard. I'm not sure if this will work in Tiger, but it definitely works in Leopard. If you control-click on the Dashboard icon, the contextual menu pops up. Then click on "More Widgets..." You can download lots of widgets from that site. I recommend "iStat nano". It's available for download on Apple's site.
