CleverMedia Producing a Short Film

Some MacMost followers may be interested to know that CleverMedia (MacMost parent) is producing a short film. The screenplay is by MacMost’s Gary Rosenzweig, who is also the on-site producer. Directing is Jay Shaffer, who has also worked with MacMost.
From a technology standpoint, the movie will be edited on Macs, of course. In addition, numerous iPhones and iPads will be used throughout production.
You can follow the production using the film’s Facebook page. Behind-the-scenes photos and video will be uploaded during filming, which starts tomorrow.

Very cool Gary. Is this something you been wanting to try? What camera equipment will you be using? Can we have a teaser as to what it will be about?

Yes, this is something I've always wanted to do. Specifically the screenwriting part. But it should also be quite an experience to be part of the production.
Can't remember the camera model that Jay is using off-hand. I'll have to ask.
You may be able to gather what it is about by carefully looking at the Facebook posts over the next week or so. But it is the type of story that is hard to describe without giving too much away. It is a thriller with a bit of sci-fi in it. Think Twilight Zone or Outer Limits.

The camera: A Lumix GH2, with hacked firmware for a high data rate.

Where/How will we view the film once it is finished? Webisode? Download? Select theaters?

First, we'll submit it to film festivals. Then, maybe some screenings. After that, some cable networks, possibly. Eventually, it will be online.
