How Do I Automatically Merge Two Data Sets In Numbers As Each Item Of Data Is Added?

I have two data sets: ‘Annual Leave Authorised’ and ‘Flexi-time authorised’. I wish to automatically merge the data in a separate, single, date-ordered table, ‘AL & FL authorised’, without my having to manually cut and paste each time data is added to one or other table. Is this possible?

‘AL Authorised’ (Reason = AL)
Authorised Date AM PM Reason Team member
1 Jan 2020 Jan 3 1 0 AL RLM
1 Jan 2020 Jan 13 1 1 AL EJD
1 Jan 2020 Jan 14 1 1 AL KEM
1 Jan 2020 Jan 14 1 1 AL KHP
1 Jan 2020 Jan 15 0 1 AL EJD

‘FL Authorised’ (Reason = FL)
Authorised Date AM PM Reason Team member
5 April 2020 Jan 3 1 0 FL MGJ
6 April 2020 Jan 13 1 0 FL SNH
10 April 2020 Jan 15 1 1 FL SNH
11 April 2020 Jan 22 1 0 FL RTG
12 April 2020 Jan 29 1 0 FL SNH
14 April 2020 Feb 11 1 1 FL RTG

‘AL & FL Authorised’
This table automatically generated as data is added to either of the other, AL or FL.

No. There is nothing in Numbers that will insert data from one table to another like that. Functions and formulas only operate on existing cells, they cannot create new ones.

The way to do what you want would be to put them both in one table to begin with. Just have that one table, not two. If you want to see only one type of data a certain time, then use a simple filter. So filter to show own Reason = AL, or Reason = FL or remove the filter to see them both.
