How Do I Create Word Art, Creating Text In an Arc, Over an Oval Shape?

Back in the day, people used to decorate cover pages and more with Word Art created in Microsoft Word, where text was created in an arc, similar to creating text over the shape of an oval or other shape in Photoshop or Illustrator. Is there a way to do that in Pages or any other Apple app? If there is another app you can recommend, it will be appreciated. Thank you!

I know what you mean. There's really no way to do that with the built-in Mac apps. You can still do it with Adobe Illustrator, of course, so nothing much has changed. Another way to do it "back in the day" was to use an app named Typestyler. That app made a return to the Mac a few years ago and you can find it in the Mac App Store. Looks and works basically the same. Another one is Art Text, also in the Mac App Store. The popular image editor Acorn also allows you to draw text in a circle.
