How Do I Move Events From Work To Home Calendars?

I followed the help. I clicked on the Work Calendar then File-> export to a file. Then clicked on Home Calendar then File-> Import. I then expected to see all of the events that had been displayed when the Work calendar was checked when it was not checked but the Home Calendar was checked. But I can only see those events if I check the Work Calendar. What am I doing wrong or do I misunderstand what those checked boxes do? Thanks

Not sure which help instructions you are referring to. You can easily move events from one calendar to the other by clicking on the event, selecting the color chip that represents the calendar, and then choosing the correct calendar from the pop-up menu that appears.

I am trying to move ALL events from my Work Calendar to my Home Calendar. I am referring to the Calendar Help function. Should I be able to see the events that I could see when I checked Work in Home AFTER I move the Work events to Home? Thanks for you help and patience

If you need to move all of the events, then why not just change the name of the calendar instead? I'm not following the rest of your question though.

I am trying to merge my Work Calendar into my Home Calendar and not use Work anymore. Looking at the nav panel in Calendar: The first three items have check boxes in front of them: Work, Family, Home. If I check Work and Home I see all of my events. I thought that if I moved my Work events into my Home events that I could now uncheck Work and still see them as they had been moved to Home. I am sorry but my understanding of Calendar might be off.

Ah, OK. All those checkboxes do is to determine which calendars are visible. So by unchecking a calendar, you are hiding it. Checking it means to show it.
If you move your events from Home to Work, and then confirm that they are in the Work calendar, then they should be visible when you have the Work calendar checked. If not, then it sounds like they are not in the Work calendar. Did you look at an individual item and see which calendar it is in?

You may want to go back and try to move these events in another way. If you simply want to move all events in Home to your Work calendar, which is empty or near-empty, then consider simply changing the name of the calendar. That is far easier. They are just names.

Otherwise, look at each event and change the calendar for that event. Should take a few seconds per event at most. Even if you have 100 events, it should only take a few minutes.
