I’m trying to set a daily reminder for only weekdays.
I want to set a reminder to go pick up our son at daycare every weekday afternoon. However I cannot find any options to select multiple specific days for repeating reminders. I’ve tried on both my Mac running Big Sur and my iPhone running iOS 14.6. I know that if I created a calendar event for it, I could set a repeating alert for specific days, but my calendar is already so jam packed full of events, I have to make extra clicks/taps to view everything in a given day, so I really don’t want to add this to it if I don’t have to. I’d rather have it as a reminder than a calendar alert, if there’s a way to do it.
Device: Something Else
App: Reminders

You can't repeat Reminders. You can only set one "due date/time" for them. But you can repeat calendar events. That's where you can highly customize the repetition so you can do only weekdays. See https://macmost.com/mac-calendar-repeating-events.html
But it sounds like what you really want is an alarm on your iPhone, not a Reminder or Calendar event. After all, you don't want to miss it just because you are on the go, not working on your Mac.
You can create an alarm in the Clock app on the iPhone. You can set the days of the week and everything. Give that a try.
Reminders can be repeated. Daily, weekly…. For just weekdays you could do 5 separate repeating reminders, one for each day. I had two biweekly reminders offset by a week for garbage and recycling weeks.
David: Yes, you can do daily, but not 5 days per week. The idea of 5 different reminders for 5 days is a good one. But the solution for Cameron is still to use a Clock alarm, not a reminder for this. That's the right way to go.
Go to the repeat function and then You can go to custom and Then select weekly in place of daily. Then after selecting weekly it will give you the options to select the days you want
Chris: You're right. I've never tried to use Reminders for a repeating alarm like that, so I never saw the day options appear.
Thank you Chris Kelly, that was exactly what I was looking for!
