How Do I Stop Political or Any Unwanted Text Messages?

Using an iPhone 6 with latest operating system for iPhone 6.

    The first thing you can do is to text STOP back to them. If this is a legitimate text from a legitimate organization, then they should honor that.

    If not, of course, you can block individual phone numbers. I have a tutorial on that at Blocking iPhone Phone Calls and Messages.

    Gary, I tried this idea, a while back, of blocking phone numbers from people (everyone) I didn't want texts. Unfortunately it also blocks phone calls which was not my intent. ( I just hate texting.)
