I just got a Slingbox remote device for accessing the DISH Network on my Mac, iPad, or PC. When I try to access on my Mac, I get the following message:
“Safari needs to be set to 32-bit mode to watch TV on a Mac running Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard).”
How do I put Safari in 32-bit mode?

Go to your Applications folder -- the main one on your hard drive, not the one in your user folder. Look for Safari. Select it and choose File, Get Info. Then look for the "Open in 32-bit mode" option.
This solved my problem. Thank you.
WOW
What a difference 32bit mode makes on memory use of Safari 5
Thanks
