hi gary when i was a windows user i was using quicke for my banking record keeping , it seems quicke is never going to come out with there latest quicken for macs what program do you recommend in its place

There is Quicken for Mac: http://quicken.intuit.com/personal-finance-software/mac-personal-financial-software.jsp -- Looks like it will be here early next year.
I use QuickBooks for Mac, but that's because I run a business. For personal finance, I think a lot of people use online software now. Things like mint.com. I think doing it online is the way to go as it makes more sense for that type of application.
